MIG productions is known for their nice updates sets and professional materials for the demanding modeler and they did it again, it provides us, modelers, with yet another nice resin update set for the AFV Club SdKfz11 kit.
The kit contains a resealable plastic bag with 4 pieces of resin.
On the one hand the two wheels, on the other hand the tarp. very crispy molding as usual.
The wheels (which can be bought seperately as MP 35.005) are different than those from the AFV Club kit because they have a civilian pattern (road) instead of the military type patern (off road).
This type of tyres could be found on late war military vehicles because of the poor supply of spare parts.
Also noticeable is the fact that the wheels can be placed on the kit without modifications to the kit.
The quality of the resin is good and no sign of air bubbles.
The tarp is made of two seperate pieces. One for the driver compartment and one for the rear compartment. This means that you can choose of 3 variants.
The quality of the resin is again very good although the front tarp was a bit thin.
The rear tarp is beautifully detailed with nice wrinkles and folds. The interior moulding is also nice and flat.
What I like about it is that ,on first sight, the tarp can be directly placed onto the kit so that when you want to show the cargo and/or crew, it can be easily removed.
The box also included a 4-paged mini guide on how to paint and weather the tarp and wheels. This by means of color photos. Very interesting for every builder.
A very attractive addition for the SdKfz 11. It is also mentioned on the box : Do not keep this kit in your basement. Build it as soon as possible.
