Sometimes sleep and the military do not go hand in hand, but like everyone, eventually you have to put your head down. Having a nice comfy cot can be a luxury and Legend Productions has brought us a set of folded cots to have on hand.
15 resin cast cots (3 styles)
This new accessory set from Legend Productions represent the modern military cot. The set is cast in resin and contain 15 folded cots in three different styles. The castings are very well done, with crisp clean detail. The folds in the nylon portions look well done and realistic, while the aluminum frame looks to be accurately reproduced in the folded position. Each cot has either one or two cast on straps that also look to be very well done.
In terms of accuracy, the cots from Legend Productions remind me of my military days and pulling these cots out and unfolding them. They do a good job of representing that cot. The same cots are used by many militaries around the world, and would make for a great looking stowage item on a vehicle. I have seen this style of cot strapped to the outside of many US and Canadian vehicles serving in Afghanistan and/or Iraq.
In military use, the cots would have an olive green or khaki nylon material and an unpainted aluminum frame. The same style cot is also available for civilian use with different color nylon tops. These new cots from Legend Productions should paint up well and add that extra detail for your next build.
This new set of cots from Legend Productions is a great addition for stowage items for military or civilian use. The overall casting is very well done, and the cots do remind me of my military days and do a great job of representing the military cot. The only downside I can see is it would have been nice to include some unfolded cots that could have been used in a diorama setup. As for stowage, I highly recommend this cot set.
