Bombed and destroyed building tend to cause a lot of rubble, and the latest release from Add On Parts will help diorama builders create that rubble appearance with formed and colored bricks.
A bag of bricks.
Add On Parts has made it a little easier for diorama builders to recreate the rubble around bombed and destroyed urban scenes. One of their latest release is preformed brick that precolored in a reddish brick color. The brick are cast in a ceramic material and look like miniature bricks, right down to the indentation on the top of the brick. Each brick measures about 7mm x 3mm x 2mm.
I did not count that actual number of bricks, but there seems to be plenty to help create a scene. Being made of a ceramic material, the little bricks would be easy to break up to represent damaged bricks, and even crush into finer rubble and dust. Being precolored, this would make for a much more realistic appearance on the diorama.
And for the even more patient people, I suppose you could even build a small wall with the set.
These new bricks from Add On Parts look to be a great accessory for adding that extra detail to urban dioramas. The ceramic material make the brick versatile to represent damage, and the precoloring allow easier use without have to worry about painting small pieces. I highly recommend these bricks from Add On Parts.
Highs: Precolored bricks, versatile use.Lows: N/AVerdict: Create for use by diorama builders, highly recommended.
